The
Lake District - South ![]() * the Wasdale walks are:- Middle Fell, a poor weather walk I have yet to do, Illgill Head and the notorious lakeside path, Great Gable, Scafell Pike, Lingmell and Great End, Yewbarrow (Wasdale's little gem) and the classic Mosedale Horseshoe. Which leaves only Kirk Fell and Scafell not covered. Kirk is best enjoyed by turning off the Mosedale Horseshoe route at Blacksail and with the absense of a "safe" Lords Rake, Scafell is eithe a grass slog or a slightly problematic scramble up to Mickledore and down to the Foxes Tarn approach, both omissions are reasonable.
