St.Olaf's church Wasdale. Built some time before 1550, restored in 1892.
There is a Fell and Rock climbing club memorial window for the Great War "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my strength". A memorial service is held on Great Gable summit on Remembrance Sunday.
Bill Bailey has written a small book "The Vikings, Wasdale Head and their church" which is available from "The Barn Door" shop  Proceeds to upkeep of church (2004).
