THE MILLENIUM EYE ON REMEMBRANCE DAY
The Millenium Eye is seen here at dawn with its lights altered to red to mimic the poppies of Flanders fields, the symbol of Remembrance day.
Remembrance
Day
At
the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month the United
Kingdom remembers the dead of two world wars with two minutes silence.A
service is held at The Cenotaph in Whitehall and smaller services take
place at smaller memorials throughout the country.
"They
shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age
shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At
the going down of the sun and in the morning
We
will remember them."
