The Mayflower
Captain Jones of "The Mayflower", a Rotherhithe man, is buried  in nearby St Mary the Virgin church. The pub, as you might expect, dates from the 16th Century, although some rebuilding has had to take place, extensive damage to the upper floor having occurred during the London blitz. The walls are adorned with memorabilia of the historic voyage of the Pilgrim Fathers to America.
