The reproduction* of the "Golden Hinde".
This was Sir Francis Drake's (originally named "Pelican") ship which he sailed round the world plundering spanish gold as he went. This reproduction has sailed 140,000 miles around the world.  If you are english you probably think of Drake as a dashing sea dog "privateer" responsible for "The singeing of the King of Spain's Beard" when he sacked Cadiz and for  defeating the spanish armada as well as being the first englishman to circumnavige the world. If you are spanish you probably just think he was the pirate "El Diablo".

**another reproduction "Golden Hind" is to be found in Brixham, Devon
