The George Inn, just south of London Bridge opposite Borough Market off Borough High Street.
Both William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens are known to have drunk here, as have I !
The George is the last of the old galleried pubs that lined the approach to London Bridge, the only Thames crossing at the time.
